| La Quercia is a perfectly presented detached cottage furnished to very high standards. In front of the cottage, there is a garden area where one can dine al fresco and enjoy breathtaking Chianti views. La Quercia is a real romantic hideaway for 2 persons wishing to maximise their privacy. It is a perfect honey-moon retreat as there are no other guests sharing the pool, although the English speaking owners may occasionally use it. The owners live in Florence most of the year, visiting at weekends. In July and August they normally take up residence in their farmhouse next door. |

| Position |
| The position is completely undisturbed, 600 metres above sea level in the Chianti hills. From La Quercia, there is good access to the main motorway leading to Florence, Bologna, Siena and Arezzo. The nearest restaurants to the property include a newly opening restaurant at the local town of Starda (1.5km) and the well established ‘Alto Chianti’ within the pretty hamlet of Castagnoli (5km). This restaurant has a pretty panoramic terrace. Other traditional Tuscan country eating establishments within a 5km radius include those at Rendola, Barbischio, Montebenichi, Nusenna and the excellent Michelin Guide restaurant at Badia A Coltibuono. Places of interest not to be missed include Siena (30km), Florence (50km), Arezzo (40km), Gaiole (8km) and wine tasting at Brolio Castle (8km), where the very first Chianti wine was made. |

| Beautifully decorated to excellent standards throughout. There is a spacious lounge with terracotta flooring and open fire. This leads through to the kitchen, fully fitted with an oven/4 ring hob and 'fridge/freezer. Dining area. Bathroom with shower. Stairs from the lounge lead to a pretty double gallery bedroom with exposed oak beams and polished wooden floors. |
