| Villa Novoli is a 12th century stone look out tower in the traditional Florentine square design with three stories and panoramic views from all windows. It is believed that the adjoining farmhouse, which now completes the building, was built one century later. Villa Novoli appears in Chianti history books under its original name 'Il Prato', noted for its historical importance. During the fourteenth century an important Renaissance family known as Buondelmonti owned the property. The interior is extremely tastefully furnished throughout with all the original features of a Tuscan countryside property. In Villa Novoli’s grounds, there is an independent barn where the owners live. |

| Amid vineyards, overlooking the 'Val di Pesa’ a Chianti Classico valley between Florence and Siena. Extremely panoramic (breathtaking views every where) and peaceful position, 20 minutes from Florence (16km) and 40 minutes from Siena. San Gimignano 30 minutes. Mercatale and old market village is about 5 minutes drive where one can find a few restaurants and bars a market on Mondays, a post office, chemist and a supermarket. There is a good local restaurant within walking distance through the vineyards. Information on Chianti’s most excellent nearby restaurants is given to guests in our guide ‘Essential Chianti’, which include wonderful terrace restaurants with breathtaking views onto Chianti vineyards. Chef service at home can be arranged. |

There is a small single vestibule bedroom, suitable for a child, situated off this main bedroom. This is available on request. There is an independent annex (or accessed through the main house), which sleeps 2 people in a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower) and kitchen. First floor: large kitchen and living/dining area with open fire, two steps to double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and dressing room, twin bedroom with single bed and gallery bed sleeping 2. Twin or triple bedroom. Independent split level feature children’s' bathroom. Tower: large double bedroom with oak beams and en-suite bathroom (including a beautiful Victorian bath tub and shower fixture). Not suitable for children or non-agile guests. |
