| Description |
| This romantic hideaway is an apartment on the ground floor of a lovely pink and white villa, nestling amongst lemon and olive groves, just below the charming rural hamlet of Torello very near to Ravello. Limonaia has a backdrop of typical Mediterranean coastal scenery with whitewashed walls and paved floors and large picture windows looking down over the citrus groves to the glittering sea below. It is comfortable, spacious accommodation ideal for those seeking a quiet base, away from hotels in an authentic, rural setting. Limonaia has a beautiful private pool shared with the non-obtrusive owners of the villa who live in the other part of the property. |
| Position |
| With a few minutes walk of Torello, with a simple shop, a few inhabitants and very few tourists. Time seems to have stood still in Torello, women dressed in black carry their baskets of freshly picked fruit and vegetables, and men play boules in a dusty field. Torello also shares Ravello's sensational coastal views. This spot is an utter joy for the keen walker. Ancient tracks, scented with rosemary and offering magnificent vistas and lovely picnic spots, are punctuated with ancient watch towers, and lead through marked orange, lemon, and olive groves to Amalfi and Minori below. Ravello is 1.5km energetic walk with its piazza with cathedral, cafes with elegant shady parasols and first class restaurants. The gardens of Villa Cimbrone with spectacular views over the coastline below were laid out by an eccentric English aristocrat and are one of the most romantic spots in all Italy. One can take the bus to Amalfi from Ravello. |
