The island is famous above all for its breathtaking scenery, beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and interesting history. |

| The Captain’s Nest is situated on the North coast of the island; 15 minutes drive from the main port of Portoferraio. The villa itself is situated overlooking the small seaside resort of Bagnaia (500m), which is lively but unspoilt with a beach, a few bars, 2 restaurants, a supermarket and chemist. There is evening entertainment in the summer months. There is also a sailing club for those wishing to sail or take a sailing course. Napoleon's elegant exile villa can be visited and other medieval towns such as Capoliveri, Old Portoferraio and Porto Azzuro. |

| The ground floor consists of a living/dining room with an open fire. There is a fully equipped separate kitchen with an oven, 4 ring hob and a 'fridge/freezer. Laundry room with washing machine. Bathroom with tub and shower fixture. The first floor has a double bedroom and vestibule twin bedroom. Please note, the stairs leading up to the first floor are wooden and have one handrail. In our opinion, the stairs are not suitable for young children. |

| Boat hire may be arranged on request with the Bagnaia sailing school. Rental is from Sunday to Sunday. We strongly advise guests to book the ferry to Elba in advance as in peak summer months, this can become fully booked. |
